Business Etiquette

My third and final learning outcome was to learn and apply business etiquette with my time at Care Partners at Home. What I didn’t know at the time was how easy this would come to me. It was a pleasant surprise to me, after years of not really knowing what to expect. However, to complete this outcome, I did something to help the office. I saw a graph depicting how the office takes in new clients. Since it was scribbled on a giant pad of paper, I took the liberty of recreating it in Microsoft Publisher. When I had something that was easier to read and follow, I presented it to the CEO and my supervisor who loved it. Below is a link to that document. Aside from a few minor changes due to error in translation, they wound up using it at a meeting last Friday (July 13th), and I have yet to hear how it went. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with this outcome. My only ideas of office culture came from movies and television, so being able to actually see it in action and develop my own mannerisms and actions was very interesting.
